The historic Marianese musical band will perform as part of the celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of ANBIMA Aps – the National Association of Autonomous Italian Musical Bands. Officially founded on 25 July 1955, ANBIMA has united bands, philharmonic societies, choirs, and folkloric groups across Italy, fostering the promotion of musical culture through regional and national events.
Under the direction of Maestro Sonia Spada, the band will present a diverse repertoire, ranging from original compositions for wind band to arrangements of iconic Italian pop songs. The programme will also pay tribute to international rock and contemporary music favourites, offering a performance that appeals to both classical and modern music enthusiasts.
For the Antico e Premiato Corpo Musicale, this concert holds special significance: next year marks the 175th anniversary of the band, founded in 1851 and considered one of the oldest in Lombardy. Symbolically, the Villa Carlotta concert will launch a year-long series of celebrations and musical events commemorating this historic milestone.
