Starting from the seventeenth century, wealthy Europeans began to settle on the shores of the exquisite lake and build their country residences here. Today, the shores of Lake Como are built up with historical villas and palaces with magnificent parks. Visiting luxury villas and walking through ancient parks is probably the best activity on Lake Como.
After being closed due to the coronavirus pandemic Lake Como Villas and museums are adopting anti-contagion measures and preparing to open for season 2020.
