The charm of the seaplane base and historic aviation in an exciting journey through past and present.
Celebrate a century of aviation heritage with a guided visit to the historic hangar of Aero Club Como, the world’s oldest seaplane flying organisation, as recognised by the Guinness World Records.
Founded in 1930, Aero Club Como is a non-profit sports association created by pilots and flight enthusiasts dedicated to preserving and advancing the legacy of seaplane aviation on Lake Como. Its impressive fleet includes 11 operational aircraft—featuring all major types: floatplanes, pure seaplanes, and amphibious models.
During the tour, expert guides will take visitors on a fascinating journey through the evolution of water-based aviation, with the rare chance to see iconic historic seaplanes—many still in flying condition, including models from the 1940s that continue to delight pilots today.
This is a unique opportunity to explore Como’s pioneering role in aviation and witness first-hand the enduring appeal of seaplanes against the stunning backdrop of the lake.
