The Aero Club of Como, one of the oldest in Europe, was opened in 1930. The club’s old hangar is located on the Como waterfront. Aero Club of Como offers several types of seaplanes for rent. All planes are constantly undergoing technical inspection and have high reliability.
The club offers seaplanes flying school. It is the largest in Europe and the oldest in the world.
The Como school is fully approved by the European JAA to carry out complete training for the Private Pilots License (PPL) and conversion to water for land pilots (SEP SEA rating).
Seaplane flying is one of the most popular experiences on Lake Como.
Professional pilots operate the Aero Club seaplanes. During a walk on a plane, tourists enjoy a magnificent panorama of the lake from a bird’s eye view. A seaplane ride will bring unforgettable memories.
Permanent members of the Aero Club holding the license are allowed to operate the seaplane independently.
