On Valentine’s Day, the magnificent Sala Bianca of the Teatro Sociale in Como will host the charity event “Love that Heals“.

A gala cocktail dinner will celebrate the immeasurable power of love and narrate the strong bond between artists and the lake through a dedicated exhibition of Sabina Capraro’s paintings. The artist’s works will be on display and ready for acquisition on the evening of 14 February. The pieces are also available for preview in a dedicated catalogue.

Sabina Capraro Colantuoni graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts (Milan). Since 1974, she has taught Drawing at the Scuola Superiore degli Artefici. In 1986 she published the guide “Acquarello” for Mondadori.

Sabina exhibited her art in Italy, France and the United States. Her works can be found in many prestigious private and public collections.

In 1993 she founded the “Se-Cultura” movement in Milan, and in 1997 she founded the “Benedetto Antelami Art and Crafts Prize”.

Her paintings oscillate between dream and reality, classicism and modernity, fable and mythology, allegory and everyday life, quotation and astonishing invention.

The proceeds from the sold works and part of the participation fee for the dinner will be donated to the Fondazione Soleterre, enabling Ukrainian children to continue to receive treatments and their families to benefit from the support they need.

The exhibition will be curated by Matilde Scaramellini and Viktoriia Serhieieva, thanks to the generous hospitality of Emilio Bordoli in collaboration with Kristina Shynkarchuk and the staff of Teatro Sociale.

The international paediatric oncology programme, ‘Great against Cancer’, of the Fondazione Soleterre, is operated in six countries. It has already protected the right to health of the most vulnerable for 20 years.

In 2022, the Soleterre Foundation was the first NGO to carry out medical evacuation operations to help Ukrainian children with cancer get treatment away from the bombs.
