The Grand Hotel Victoria Concept & SPA in Menaggio was recently renovated and expanded, transforming into a modern facility with timeless charm. The Rocchi family, the hotel owners, masterfully combined history and tradition with comfort and modernity.
During the Belle Époque, the Grand Hotel welcomed wealthy English, German and Russian families, who descended from the Engadine, followed by massive trunks, luggage, hat racks and the promise of an unforgettable holiday. Grand staircases, chandeliers, and rooms adorned with stucco and gilded friezes testify to the Art Nouveau style’s splendour. During its renovation, the Rocchi family (R Collection Hotels Chain) wanted to preserve its irresistible charm for over 100 years and enhance the majesty of the past materials with contemporary forms and functionality.

Each table is enclosed in a special decoration, made by metallic chains of thin threads with strong colours to recreate a theatrical and unique atmosphere to be remembered.
The Lago restaurant is a place to immerse yourself in history and art, with its apex in the most iconic recipes of Executive Chef Martin Vitaloni, a multisensory path capable of satiating the most demanding of palates. The environment promotes the marriage between the rich decoration of the spaces and the modern open kitchen: an atmosphere of winter garden of early 1800 with the comfort of a contemporary bistro with the innovative cellar showcasing exposed wines.
Bar Manzoni is characterised by luxury furnishings surrounded by greenery that offer a stunning view of Lake Como. The bar offers a relaxing and intimate atmosphere making it an excellent spot for a coffee, a drink or evening aperitif.
Sustainable Luxury
The accessories offered in the rooms have sustainable packaging and are made of recycled paper. Origami is used to close the boxes instead of glue and for signs – inks based on soy. These are the principal features of the packaging of R collection amenities. In addition, the cosmetic line, based on precious and natural ingredients such as eruca sativa, ginseng, macadamia oil, is nickel tested and vegan friendly.
