On Sunday 26 Giuseppe Conte, Italian Prime Minister, announced the “Phase two of the Italian lockdown” that will start from May 4th, after the two months of restrictions to prevent the pandemic of coronavirus.
Factories construction works can reopen on May 4th, wholesale trade, and manufacturing related to exports are also expected to get back.
From May 4th the outdoor activity is allowed, and parks will be reopened. It will be allowed to go outside with kids. People will be able to exercise outdoor without restrictions at any distance from home, but social distancing of at least one meter should be observed.
Usage of Masks
The usage of masks remains mandatory in public transport. Medical masks, scarves or masks made of fabric should be worn over the nose and mouth. The price for masks will be controlled and fixed at €0.50, and VAT will not be applied.
From May 4th it is allowed to visit relatives, continuing to take all the precautions. Large gatherings or parties are prohibited.
Moving around regions
It will be allowed to move around the region of the residence, from one municipality to another. The travel between different regions, except for proven reasons (work, health issues, or extraordinary circumstances) remains banned.
Restaurants remain closed, but from May 4th they can reopen and offer take-away services. The food from the restaurants can be consumed at home but not at the restaurants.
Retail and cultural sites
Shops and museums should be open on May 18th, if the situation will remain under control and will not worsen.
Bars and hairdressers
Bars, hairdressers, and beauty salons remain closed until June 1st.
Schools remain closed, they continue the distance learning and will reopen only in September.
