Under the cover of darkness, goods were transported across the lake and along hidden mountain paths, creating stories that still linger in local memory.

Today, Brienno remains largely untouched by mass tourism. Its atmosphere is intimate and contemplative, offering visitors the rare opportunity to experience Lake Como beyond the postcard image.
