The Christmas Concert at the Church of San Sebastiano in Oria Valsolda promises an enchanting afternoon of classical music and seasonal cheer. On Sunday, 1st December 2024, at 4:00 PM, this historic venue will host the Quartetto di Flauti Prisma, featuring Alice Paglia, Vittorio Nissotti, Camilla Gasparetto, and Damiano Bodi.
The programme includes works by Anton Reicha, François Devienne, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, along with festive Christmas melodies that reflect the season’s magic. Formed at the Conservatorio Cantelli in Novara under the guidance of Giuseppe Gregori, this talented flute ensemble will deliver an elegant and evocative performance in a setting of extraordinary beauty.
Nestled beside the historic Villa Fogazzaro Roi, famously featured in Antonio Fogazzaro’s Piccolo Mondo Antico, the church offers breathtaking views of Lake Lugano’s tranquil winter landscape. This picturesque backdrop enhances the concert’s festive charm.
Guests will be greeted in the piazzetta with a Christmas Mug from the LacMus Festival and a warming cup of tea, courtesy of the Pro Loco di Valsolda. After the performance, traditional mulled wine will complete this delightful celebration.
Organised in collaboration with FAI – Villa Fogazzaro Roi, this concert is a perfect way to welcome Christmas with music, tradition, and timeless beauty.
