Lake Como Floating Stage: New Shows Announced
Following its triumphant success in Lecco, the floating stage on Lake Como resumes its journey to Bellano.
The project has not only won over the public but has also received praise from the artists, who have commended the unique setting that enhances the beauty of the lake. After the enthusiastic debut with over a thousand spectators, local municipality has announced two additional events on 2 and 9 August.
The new performances in Bellano will pay tribute to two icons of Italian music. On 2 August, at 9:00 PM, the Beach by the Pioverna River will host a tribute to Raffaella Carrà with “I Passo Carrabile”. Celebrating the legendary artist’s career, this show will feature costume changes to honour Carrà’s iconic “visual” style.
On 9 August, also at 9:00 PM, “I Faber per Sempre” will present a tribute concert to Fabrizio De André. Pier Michelatti and other musicians will perform the repertoire with great passion and expertise, promising to recreate the emotion of the Genoese genius.
Events in Tremezzina
On August 14 and 15, the floating stage will move to Tremezzina, in the picturesque Gulf of Venus in Lenno. On 14 August, at 9:00 PM, the Memories Social Band and the OI & B Zucchero Celebration Band will perform. The latter, featuring a 30-piece orchestra and the voice of Christian Garbinato, will pay tribute to Zucchero’s blues with impressive similarity.
On 15 August, at 9:00 PM, the evening will begin with the Memories Social Band, followed by the Italian Dire Straits, acclaimed as the best tribute band to Dire Straits. The night will end with a fireworks display timed with the band’s music and video.
Upcoming Events in Lecco and Colico
After Tremezzina, the floating stage will return to Lecco to host the Sulutumana and Giovanni Allevi, before concluding the season in Colico with a grand finale featuring Saule Kilaite’s magical violin.
