Floating Concerts Light Up the Waters of Lake Como
What began as an ambitious cultural experiment in Tremezzina and Lecco two summers ago has grown into a full-scale festival.
Lake Como is once again setting the stage—literally—for one of the most unique and magical music events in Europe: the Palco Galleggiante, or floating stage. Suspended over the lake’s sparkling surface and backed by mountain silhouettes, this summer-long series of concerts brings live music to the water, lighting up the night with unforgettable performances under the stars.
What started in 2023 as a small experiment in Tremezzina and Lecco has quickly grown into a celebrated tradition. Now in its third season, the 2025 edition is bigger than ever, with twice the number of events and six lakeside towns joining forces to host. Each concert is a fusion of sound and scenery, as performers take to a floating platform anchored just offshore, while spectators watch from the promenade, nearby beaches, or even small boats gathered around the stage.
There’s no fixed genre: the programme ranges from classical and jazz to modern and experimental. But one thing is consistent—every night delivers a visually stunning show, with stage lights reflecting off the water, distant village lights twinkling on the hills, and music carrying across the lake under the open sky. It’s a rare kind of concert experience, immersive and atmospheric, where nature is part of the performance.

With more towns joining and the audience growing, Lake Como’s floating concerts are fast becoming a symbol of summer in the region—an experience not to miss if you’re visiting. Come for the view, stay for the music.
