Milan’s Iconic Restaurant Opens at Grand Hotel Tremezzo
Grand Hotel Tremezzo announced the opening of its new restaurant Giacomo Al Lago, in collaboration with the Giacomo Milano Group, on the iconic beach of the Palace, located within the territory of the five-star hotel in Tremezzo.
As a postcard frame for the floating swimming pool, Giacomo al Lago is the perfect choice for those looking for an exclusive location, combined with the more traditional fish recipes that have made Giacomo Milano a unique protagonist in the world of Italian gastronomy. The new restaurant settled in a timeless atmosphere, which has characterized the coasts in Italy in the ’50s and ’60s. Every evening the spectacle of the Grigne mountains reflected in the water right where the lake splits into two branches makes an impression.
For over sixty years, Giacomo Milano has been the restaurant group that has seduced the world’s greatest gourmets. For three generations, it has attracted them with the simplicity of Italian traditions and the freshness of its ingredients. “A kitchen to feel at home”, as Giacomo calls it.
When two families meet, a great story is born. The arrival of Giacomo al Lago in Grand Hotel Tremezzo is a story that unites two families, who have embodied for generations the most authentic values of Italian hospitality and a culinary tradition that lasts since the beginning of 1900.
Giacomo Al Lago will offer its guests a wide variety of fresh seafood, from red prawns of Mazara del Vallo to scampi, saraghi and snapper. At lunch, raw fish will be the protagonists of the menu, perfect for a light meal by the pool, accompanied by some great classics. In the evening, when the waters reflect the soft lights of the Palace, the restaurant welcomes its guests under the stars, with a more articulated proposal, enriched by a wide choice of iconic dishes and a selected wine list – the highlights of Giacomo Milano group restaurants.
The Grand Hotel Tremezzo is an art nouveau gem located in Tremezzo, in Lake Como. With views fording the crystalline waters towards Bellagio and the Grigne mountains, the hotel indulges guests in sumptuous accommodations, three pools, a private lakeside beach and a lavish secluded park, all accompanied by truly the warmest of Italian hospitality.
