Unveiling the Magic: Lake Como’s Christmas Celebrations

The magic of Christmas returns to Como with charming light projections on the facades of the central part of the old town. In the 2025-2026 edition programme, you can find numerous Christmas Events, Christmas Market with its wooden houses, local food and craftsmanship, and also the ice rink in the center of Como.

In the City’s remarkable setting, the lake and the surrounding mountains, Christmas in Como animates the city centre with initiatives for the whole family.

In the magical Christmas atmosphere, tiny houses in Piazza Cavour will sell handicrafts and typical local products, the other houses are dedicated to street food in Viale Corridoni, and the 3 in Piazza Grimoldi in Como will offer activities organized by local associations. 

In Piazza Duomo, it will be possible to admire the Christmas Tree while the illuminations in the central streets will make the walks through the City’s streets more evocative.

There will be no shortage of attractions and entertainment for all, with the ice skating rink in Viale Corridoni, shows and entertainment by street performers, Santa Claus House, choirs in the city squares and the inevitable fireworks display on the lake for New Year’s Eve.

In 2025 the Christmas and New Year Festivities in Como will take place from November 22, 2025 – to January 6, 2026.
