Lake Como’s Hidden Marvels Open for FAI Autumn Days

The annual FAI event (FAI Autumn Days) is devoted to cultural heritage and landscape preservation returns to Lake Como on the weekend of 15-16 October.

This year organizers prepared the opening of 7 hidden places in Como and the province: two in the centre of Como, but hidden from the eyes of passersby; one in Cermenate, on the busy route that connects Como to Milan; one in Lipomo, along the provincial road to Lecco; and three in Argegno, on the road travelled every day by hundreds of tourists and residents. These bustling areas can surprise those who know how to stop and look closely.

A fantastic weekend – in support of the fundraising campaign of FAI – Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano – to experience the beauty surrounding us and discover some of the hidden treasures scattered throughout the territory of Italy.

FAI open days initiative organized by Fondo Ambiente Italiano (FAI) allows entry into palaces, villas, castles, churches, abbeys, parks, gardens, towers, theatres and libraries in 350 locations across Italy. Many participating sites are generally closed to the public or are difficult to visit.
