Nestled on the western shore of Lake Como, Villa Carlotta is a masterpiece of art, history, and nature. Famous for its spectacular botanical gardens and prestigious art collection, the villa is an unmissable destination for lovers of beauty and heritage. Among its many treasures, the camellia stands out as one of the most fascinating.
Once a rare and exotic marvel, brought to Europe from Japan in the late 18th century, the camellia has since flourished in the villa’s gardens. From February to late April, its breathtaking bloom transforms the landscape into a canvas of delicate white, pink, and red hues.
This tour offers a fascinating insight into the camellias of Lake Como, with the journey continuing at Villa Melzi and Villa Monastero (please visit their official websites for details on timings and tickets).
The event will take place only if the minimum number of participants is reached. The guided tour will be conducted in Italian.
