The Museo del Paesaggio del Lago di Como presents Elogio del Lago, an evocative exhibition offering a visual journey through the history of Lake Como via the Bordoli Crivelli Visconti Collection. Curated by Francesco Trippini, the exhibition showcases a refined selection of rare prints from the 16th to the 19th century, capturing towns, villas, and natural wonders along the lake’s shores.
Featuring works by Italian and international artists – including Giuseppe Bisi, Johan Jakob Wetzel, and the Lose couple – the display highlights both well-known and hidden corners of the Lario, from Como to Colico, and Bellagio to Lecco. Views include iconic sites such as Villa d’Este, Villa Balbianello, and the dramatic Orrido di Nesso.
Created in memory of Giorgio Bordoli Crivelli Visconti, a passionate historian and collector, this exhibition continues his legacy, offering a deeper appreciation of Lake Como’s evolving landscape and cultural heritage.
Visitors can also explore the museum’s permanent collection of historical prints and photographs, alongside immersive multimedia displays.
