For more than twenty years, the village of Rovenna, perched above Cernobbio, has transformed into an enchanted stage each autumn. Castagne, Streghe e… Dintorni celebrates the season with a unique blend of folklore, flavours, and festivity. Between the scent of roasted chestnuts, the glow of lantern-lit courtyards, and the mysterious presence of the Strii de Ruena (the witches of Rovenna), visitors are invited into a world where tradition meets magic.
The cobbled alleys of Rovenna, a hamlet renowned for its panoramic views over Lake Como, come alive with stalls, performances, and culinary delights. Wander through a world of storytellers, face painters, craft and food stalls, and the melodies of folk musicians. Central to the experience is the Aperistrega, an itinerant tasting of fine local wines paired with appetising bites, offered only to adults. Families will find a welcoming atmosphere too, with special shows for children and packages designed to make the event accessible for all.
