Romantic New Year Celebration in Como Theatre

The Teatro Sociale di Como welcomes back its much-loved New Year’s Eve at the Theatre, one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the festive season.

On Thursday, 31 December at 5:30 pm, the Balletto di Siena will take to the stage with The Nutcracker, set to the timeless music of  Tchaikovsky.

Following the performance, guests will have the opportunity to welcome the New Year with an exclusive gala dinner held on the theatre’s historic stage, creating a truly memorable setting in which to celebrate until midnight.

The story of young Clara and her magical journey into an enchanted world, together with Tchaikovsky’s unforgettable score, has made The Nutcracker one of the world’s most beloved ballets, captivating audiences of all ages for well over a century.

The production is choreographed by Marco Batti, a distinguished figure in the Italian dance world, renowned for his artistic sensitivity, energy and extensive experience across every aspect of ballet, from the training of young dancers to major stage productions.

This production by the Balletto di Siena is particularly engaging for younger audiences. Through a fresh and spontaneous interpretation of the classic tale, children and adults alike are drawn into Clara’s enchanting world, making it a delightful theatrical experience for the whole family.
