Summer Camp Adventures Await at Villa Carlotta

  • June 29, 2026 08:30 - September 4, 2026 17:00

Villa Carlotta is once again offering its popular summer camps for 2026, welcoming children aged six to eleven for a programme of art, nature and creative activities set within one of Lake Como’s most remarkable cultural landmarks.

Set within the historic botanical gardens and museum, the camps combine hands-on learning with outdoor activities, encouraging children to discover the natural and artistic heritage of Villa Carlotta through engaging workshops and games. Designed to complement both school and family life, the programme aims to transform the summer holidays into a rewarding educational experience while maintaining a strong focus on fun and creativity.

Each day includes a mix of artistic and craft workshops, outdoor games, guided walks through the botanical gardens, encounters with works of art, storytelling sessions and traditional games.

Every week follows a different theme inspired by exploration and discovery:

  • Sustainable Villa Carlotta – making natural toothpaste and deodorant, alongside recycled paper workshops.
  • Playing with Colour at Villa Carlotta – plein air painting, creating natural pigments, and collage inspired by Henri Matisse.
  • Villa Carlotta Through the Senses – tactile painting, recognising the scents of aromatic plants, and building a personal sound box.
  • From Villa Carlotta to the World – creating a miniature Zen garden, producing a mythology-inspired comic featuring Ulysses and Palamedes, and constructing a totem dedicated to the estate’s giant sequoias.

Thanks to a donation from a private American foundation, participation fees have been reduced and include a daily afternoon snack for every child.
