From 8 June to 21 September 2025, the Museo della Seta di Como hosts Moda Divina, a new exhibition celebrating the diva as a cultural icon — through the lens of fashion, fabric, and photography.
Curated by the museum itself, Moda Divina offers a rare glimpse into the visual construction of stardom, showcasing how the elegance and power of the diva have been shaped by couture and silk. Set in the heart of Italy’s silk capital — a UNESCO Creative City — the exhibition blends history, craftsmanship, and artistry.
Visitors will encounter haute couture gowns, original sketches, and textiles from iconic maisons including Balenciaga, Valentino, Versace, and Yves Saint Laurent. Highlights include Rosa Genoni’s revolutionary Tanagra dress, rare Balenciaga drawings, and the striking suit worn by Ornella Vanoni at Sanremo 2018. Photographs by Giovanni Gastel and Elio Luxardo add a cinematic dimension, alongside contemporary artworks by Luca Gandola.
More than a fashion showcase, Moda Divina is a tribute to silk as both material and metaphor — where each stitch tells a story of glamour, strength, and identity.
The exhibition is accompanied by guided tours, artist workshops, and roundtables exploring the diva as a living artwork.
