The Lake Como Design Festival returns for its eighth edition, taking place from 12 to 2o September 2026 across the city of Como and its stunning lakeside surroundings. This year’s theme, “Confine”, invites visitors on an immersive journey through exhibitions and site-specific installations that explore the concept (Border). A boundary not only as a line that divides territories, ideas, states of mind, or levels of consciousness, but also as a point of encounter—a space that defines while connecting. It is a zone of tension and transformation, of contact and exchange. To reflect on this theme today is not only to question where “the other” ends, but to rediscover ourselves.
The 2026 edition of the Lake Como Design Festival seeks to embrace fragmentation not as a loss, but as a fertile ground for regeneration and reconnection. Through creative expression, memory, and rediscovery, the festival reframes the notion of fragments as opportunities to piece together new narratives and explore innovative possibilities.
