FuoriConcorso returns to Lake Como to Celebrate Porsche’s Anniversary

This year’s FuoriConcorso Open Museum on Lake Como will be devoted to the 75th anniversary of Porsche sports cars. On 20 and 21 May, the open-air exhibition will bring to Lake Como some of the most iconic Porsche Road and racing models, displaying them in the spectacular setting of Villa Olmo.

Porsche – 75 years of dream cars

In 1948, Ferry Porsche and his team realised what had always been his personal dream by designing a small, light and fast sports car – the 356 ‘Number 1’ Roadster. It was the first sports car to bear the Porsche name, thus giving rise to the Brand.
For 75 years, Porsche has stood for a pioneering spirit, passion and dreams. So there is no better place to celebrate this important date than the dreamlike setting of Lake Como in late spring.

Last year, the FuoriConcorso Sonderwunsch exhibition celebrated Porsche Exclusive’s most exhilarating creations. In 2023, the iconic brand returns to Lake Como to celebrate the momentous anniversary with an unprecedented public event, once again at the FuoriConcorso Open Museum. And while fans can usually only admire Porsche’s most legendary creations inside the famous halls of the Porsche Museum in Zuffenhausen, Porsche will bring a selection of the most beautiful sports and racing cars for this occasion to the shores of the lake in the spectacular neoclassical residence of Villa Olmo in Como.

FuoriConcorso celebrates automotive culture

FuoriConcorso offers innovative community events that bring together car enthusiasts in some of the world’s most iconic and luxurious locations. The exclusive events and rallies aim to expand participants’ automotive knowledge while offering unique experiences and a taste of the renowned Italian lifestyle. Since its debut in 2019, FuoriConcorso has been praised by gastronomes and the media as one of the most original, engaging and internationally followed automotive events.

Every year, at the end of May and in conjunction with the renowned Concorso d’Eleganza at Villa d’Este, FuoriConcorso celebrates another highlight of classic and contemporary automotive culture with a one-off exhibition at Villa del Grumello and Villa Sucota, two fascinating garden estates overlooking Lake Como and the surrounding mountains.

As of 2022, the event format has been extended to a third prime location, Villa Olmo, which hosts the FuoriConcorso Open Museum. This unique open-air exhibition, implemented in collaboration with the Como community, hosts an outstanding automotive museum, a foundation or a private collection. Throughout the weekend of 20 and 21 May 2023, FuoriConcorso Open Museum will be open to the public.
