Nautilus: Where Cars, Boats & Italian Style Meet

Cars, vintage speedboats, music and Italian lifestyle come together at one of Lake Como’s most distinctive hidden locations for a stylish celebration of motoring culture by the water.

Away from Lake Como’s world-famous concours lawns, a more playful side of the region’s motoring culture is taking shape. Nautilus by Motoring Attitude returns this September, bringing together an eclectic collection of cars, vintage racing boats, music and drinks for a relaxed end-of-season gathering on the shores of the lake.

The event takes place at Hotel Nautilus in Moregge, near Lecco, a Jules Verne-inspired mid-century retreat surrounded by gardens and a private beach. With its unusual architecture and waterfront setting, the property provides a suitably cinematic backdrop for an event that deliberately steps away from the formality of a traditional concours.

Where Cars and Boats Meet

At the heart of Nautilus is a carefully curated selection of historic and contemporary automobiles. Italian design icons sit alongside modern classics, unusual one-off creations and cars chosen simply because they have character.

Vintage racing and leisure boats add another dimension, turning the shoreline itself into part of the display.

Previous editions have welcomed everything from classic Lancias and Ferraris to hand-built dune buggies and vintage Amphicars, reflecting an approach that values originality, personality and fun rather than trophies and strict concours rules.

Visitors can wander through the palm-framed gardens and along the property’s extensive private shoreline, moving between cars and boats while a vinyl-only DJ set provides the soundtrack. Drinks and the relaxed lakeside atmosphere complete an experience that feels as much like an Italian end-of-summer party as a motoring event.

The mood? Casual, stylish and deliberately not too serious — somewhere between classic motoring culture and a Wes Anderson film.

A Curated Gathering

Nautilus is not an open-entry car show. Every participating vehicle is selected by the organizing team to create a diverse and distinctive line-up.

Owners applying with a car can submit several vehicle options, allowing the organizers to select the one that best complements the year’s collection.

The event is open to visitors of all ages. Dogs are also welcome but must remain on a leash and under close supervision because of the crowds and moving vehicles.

Tickets and Access

Admission is €70 for visitors and €140 for participants attending with a selected car.

Tickets must be purchased online in advance. There will be no ticket sales at the entrance or during the event. Attendance is limited, and ticket sales may close once maximum capacity has been reached.
