On 13 and 14 September 2025, the historic town of Tirano will be filled with the aromas, flavours, and culture of the Eroico Rosso – Sforzato Wine Festival, a celebration dedicated to Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG, the king of Valtellina wines. Over the course of the weekend, dozens of renowned wineries will present prestigious labels in the elegant halls, charming courtyards, and verdant gardens of Tirano’s noble palaces.
The festival offers a rich programme of experiences designed to immerse visitors in the very essence of Valtellina. Alongside wine tastings, there will be live music, guided tours of historic cellars, walks through the centuries-old terraced vineyards, and open-air tastings among the vines themselves. Art exhibitions, cultural encounters, and mountain bike excursions will further enhance this celebration of heritage and hospitality.
Valtellina, a stunning alpine valley in northern Lombardy, is famed for its dramatic mountain scenery and vineyards carved into steep slopes. Tirano, its southern gateway, combines centuries of history with a warm, welcoming spirit, and serves as the departure point for the UNESCO-listed Bernina Express to St. Moritz. Against this backdrop, Eroico Rosso promises not just an exploration of fine wine, but a journey into the heart of the region’s identity.
